Following their return to the 1:1 status, FC Barcelona are looking to bring some attacking reinforcements to Hansi Flick’s squad for the second half of the season.

The Blaugranes have been closely linked with the Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford for this purpose, but despite his willingness to give up a significant part of his wages to play for the Catalan side, Barcelona still need to sell some players to generate the required wage margin for his signing.

However, the players that the Blaugranes were previously looking to sell, like Ansu Fati and Eric Garcia, are either not too keen to leave or the Azulgrana are not satisfied with the offers they have received for them.

In such a context, SPORT reports that the 28-year-old defender Andreas Christensen is garnering interest from around Europe, and he can leave Barcelona in this winter transfer window, even on a loan.

Two sides that are particularly interested in the Dane are Juventus and Manchester United. The Italians are looking for a proven center-back and previously tried to sign Araujo. However, with the Uruguayan’s renewal, Christensen can be a good option for them, whom they are looking to get on a loan with a non-mandatory purchase option.

On the other hand, Manchester United are also facing problems in their defense, and they have set their sights on the Danish defender. However, he is not a priority for now, and the Red Devils will have to sell some of their current players to get him.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are not yet forcing him to leave, but the Dane should understand that he is not going to get many minutes in the Catalan team going forward, as Inigo Martinez, Pau Cubarsi, and Ronald Araujo all are ahead of him in the pecking order, while Hansi Flick also likes Eric Garcia a lot.
