AC Milan close out their Serie A campaign with a 2-0 victory over Monza on matchday 38. The Rossoneri opened the scoring through Matteo Gabbia in the second half before João Félix added a second with a well-struck free-kick. This win means that AC Milan finish 2024/25 on 63 points. The game was even in the first 45 minutes, but AC Milan took their chances after the break and claimed all three points. Monza, on the other hand, end the season in last place on 18 points.
The Rossoneri, led tonight by João Costa due to Conceição's suspension, grew into it after the break following a somewhat drab first half. The introduction of Samuel Chukwueze and Francesco Camarda gave the hosts added impetus, and both of them played well. Late on, good news came in the form of Alessandro Florenzi's return following a knee injury, which he sustained in the friendly against Manchester City on 28 July.

In the 64th minute, Gabbia opened the scoring with a header from a corner taken by the Nigerian man. Monza tried to respond, but the Rossoneri defence held firm. With 74 minutes on the clock, João Félix doubled the Diavolo’s advantage with a precise free-kick. In the closing stages, AC Milan managed possession well and comfortably saw out the match.
