AC Milan Women 0-6 Juventus: Rossonere reach Scudetto play-off despite mauling | OneFootball

AC Milan Women have reached the Scudetto play-offs despite being utterly dismantled by Juventus to end the first part of the season.

Milan Women collapsed against Juventus as Susanne Bakker’s girls lose 6-0 against the league leaders in a match that was already decided in the first half, which ended 4-0 for the Bianconere.

Cristiano Girelli got a hat-trick inside 39 minutes (with all three goals coming in a 14-minute span) while Lisa Boattin got the other one in what was a very forgettable opening 45 minutes.

In the second half, the other two goals arrived and one was from the ex-Milan player Valentina Bergamaschi, the other from Vangsgaard. It is without doubt the worst defeat of the campaign in terms of being outclassed, and yet it wasn’t enough to knock Milan out of the play-offs.

Como’s simultaneous defeat away against Napoli allowed the Rossonere to finish the regular season in fifth place and thus reach the Poule Scudetto. Milan finish the season with seven wins, four draws and seven defeats from their 18 games, and a goal difference of -3.
