Arsenal fans having at last got their wish to see Alexander Isak scoring at the Emirates to help his team pick up a deserved 2-0 victory.

That ‘strange reason’ apparently due to it having been Newcastle United who the Sweden international was scoring for, rather than the Gunners.

Following Tuesday’s match, Mikel Arteta has been blaming the defeat on the ball apparently the Puma match ball is too round or something compared to the Nike ball used in the Premier League. The shameless Arsenal manager wanting to somehow make out that this disadvantaged his team compared to Newcastle United. You have to laugh.

For Arsenal fans though, they have been claiming that their hero Alexander Isak should have seen his first goal at the Emirates chalked off, the Gunners seemingly thinking that this was the biggest injustice that led to Newcastle’s (deserved) win.

Arsenal fans reckoning that Alexander Isak had pushed Martin Odegaard before scoring that opening goal.

Alexander Isak with a simple message to those Arsenal fans, declaring ‘It is part of the game, we all play on the edge. It was nothing.’

Alexander Isak loving the fact that Newcastle United have now made it seven wins in a row, reflecting on Tuesday night’s win at the Emirates:

“It [beating Arsenal 2-0] is massive.

“A great result.

“It is only the first half though, if we don’t go through then it this has no meaning.

“I don’t think it’s too much of an individual thing [when it comes to Newcastle’s brilliant form].

“It is more a team thing.

“We have been very consistent to create chances.

“We have found our way back to our identity and the basics.

“It starts with how we defend.

“The defence and the midfield put their body on the line.

“Then we have the quality up front.

“We went there with the intention to bring a good result home and we did.

“We have some time to change things, then come back and do the same at St. James’ Park [in the second leg].”
