Speaking in the embargoed section of his pre-game press conference ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Southampton Pep Guardiola was asked about how long Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish will be out for. The City manager revealed that Grealish should be back before the next international break. The news wasn’t as good on Jeremy Doku’s condition. When asked if the pair would be back before the international break Pep Guardiola said: “Jack, yeah, I hope so. I hope so, but Jeremy I don’t think so.”

Guardiola also revealed when the pair were injured. He added: “Jack was in training, the day after (Wolves), in one action. And Jeremy I think was Wolves.”

The news of Jeremy Doku likely being out until the international break is a blow for Manchester City. Doku had started the season well and is a crucial attacking option for the world champions.
