The Rams signed Rohan Luthra at the start of the campaign as the club's third-choice goalkeeper following Scott Loach's retirement, bringing the young shot-stopper in on a one-year contract.

He has made the bench on just a couple of occasions since arriving at the club, and the 22-year-old has had to watch on as Jacob Widell Zetterstrom and Josh Vickers have made the squad on a weekly basis.

Kane Wilson

Kane Wilson has been extraordinary at right-back and right wing-back since joining Derby from Bristol City ahead of the 2023/24 season on a two-year deal.

He played a crucial role in helping the team to promotion, playing 41 times in League One, while also scoring crucial goals against Bolton Wanderers and Lincoln City to help the club back to the Championship.

Losing the 24-year-old would be extremely detrimental to the East Midlands outfit's chances of competiting in either division next season and he will have plenty of sides in the second tier keeping tabs on his progress.

Sonny Bradley

Currently on loan at Wycombe Wanderers, Sonny Bradley's final Rams game has seemingly come and gone with his two-year contract set to expire in the summer.

His time at Pride Park has not quite gone how he would have expected on a personal level, but he was still able to add to his catalogue of promotions with Derby last season.

Sides in League One will be queueing up for his signature this summer, and his experience will come in extremely handy for a number of teams.

Matt Clarke

Signed from Middlesbrough until the end of the season in January, Matt Clarke has now played for the Rams on three different occasions, having spent two previous years on loan at Pride Park while he was a Brighton & Hove Albion player.

The likelihood of the centre-back staying in the East Midlands past this summer depends greatly on their survival in the Championship, and there will be several second tier sides keeping a keen eye on Clarke.

Craig Forsyth

A stalwart at Derby, Craig Forsyth has been an incredibly loyal servant to the club that he first called home in 2013.

Now 36 and being managed by one of his former teammates, the left-back is in the twilight of his career and it would not be a surprise at all to see him finally hang up his boots at the end of the season.

He trigged a performance-based one-year extension following promotion, giving him one more opportunity to wear the black-and-white of the Rams in the Championship once again.

Tyrese Fornah

The second player on this list that is currently out on loan, Tyrese Fornah is plying his trade in League Two for Salford City.

He's been excellent for the Ammies as they have mounted a push for the play-offs and he looks at home at The Peninsula Stadium.

The arrival of Ebou Adams in January 2024 saw the holding midfielder lose his place in the starting XI last season, and he chose to move away for this campaign to ensure that he was getting plenty of game time and the Greater Manchester side may look to secure a permanent deal after June with his time in DE24 coming to an end.

Liam Thompson

The last of Derby's Premier League U18 title winning team, Liam Thompson has found it difficult to maintain his place in the team over the course of the last couple of years.

Injuries have held the 22-year-old back throughout this time, but he is an extremely exciting player and supporters have grown fond of him since he made his debut under Wayne Rooney in 2021.

If he can stay fit, there is no doubt that he can play a part for the Rams in the coming years, but this is a huge if and his current contract situation leaves him vulnerable to moving on after his deal was extended by another year following League One promotion.

Tom Barkhuizen

The first signing made by David Clowes when he completed his takeover of the club in July 2022, Tom Barkhuizen's importance at Derby has dipped in the last few months since they returend to the Championship.

He had a strong outing in League One in the 2023/24 campaign, and he triggered an extension in his contract for another year, but he has not been given too much of an opportunity to impress either Warne or Eustace since then.

A solid third tier winger, he may find himself facing his current side if a new deal is not worked out.

Kemar Roofe

After missing out on another striker in the January transfer window, Kemar Roofe became Eustace's first signing as the head coach of the Rams, joining as a free agent.

He left Rangers in the summer before spending the next eight months without a club, and he made his debut for his new side off the bench against Millwall in a 1-0 defeat at Pride Park just days after his arrival.

The 32-year-old will be hoping to make an impact in the next few months, as he looks for a deal for next season anywhere he can get it.

Conor Washington

Conor Washington left Rotherham United to join up with his former manager, Warne, at the same time as Sonny Bradley.

However, his two years in the East Midlands have not worked out and he is set to leave the club for pastures new in the summer.

Without an appearance in any competition this season, Derby supporters will be happy to see the back of the striker and he may have to drop to League Two to find a team where he will get regular game time.
