Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal will both be looking to shake off weekend defeats as they prepare for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal. For the Gunners, the challenge is even steeper—they’ll need to overturn a one-goal deficit on Wednesday night.
PSG came up short on Saturday, losing 2-1 to RC Strasbourg at Stade de la Meinau. The hosts struck twice in the first half, and although Bradley Barcola pulled one back after the break, the Ligue 1 leaders couldn’t find a second, extending their losing streak in league play to two.
Arsenal also suffered a 2-1 loss, falling at home to Bournemouth. They opened the scoring early at Emirates Stadium but conceded twice in the second half.
And while they’ll be pushing for a turnaround in the second leg, Gianluigi Donnarumma could have something to say about it—the PSG goalkeeper has been instrumental in their run to the semifinals.

On Tuesday, Achraf Hakimi spoke to the media and hinted that if the Gunners want secure a road win and advance past PSG, they’ll need to best one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
“Gigio is one of the best goalkeepers in the world,” Hakimi said (h/t PSG). “We have great confidence in him. Some people have doubted him, but not us. We’ve always supported him. Having a goalkeeper of his calibre gives us a lot of peace of mind in matches.”
