Supporters warned about ticket touting and resales before quarter-final first leg at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal have issued a fresh ticket warning to fans ahead of their Champions League showdown with Real Madrid.

And Arsenal have warned fans about buying tickets from touts, unauthorised third-party websites or social media.

The club have warned of the “significant risk” that tickets obtained from those sources will be duplicated or counterfeited, and that fans with invalid tickets will be denied entry.

Arsenal also say any supporter found to be engaging in touting “will face severe penalties, including bans from purchasing future tickets or attending matches, and may be reported to the police”.

In a message to supporters on their website, Arsenal said: “As we prepare for our Champions League quarter-final fixture against Real Madrid at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, we would like to remind our supporters of the importance of only purchasing tickets to our matches through official club channels.

“The demand for this fixture has been extremely high and we urge all supporters to avoid purchasing tickets from touts, unauthorised third-party websites or social media.

“There is a significant risk that tickets obtained from these sources will be duplicated or counterfeited. If you have a ticket that is invalid, you will be denied entry to the stadium.”

The club added: “Tickets purchased from social media sites such as Facebook and X, touts and unofficial websites often do not materialise or are counterfeit.

“If you purchase tickets from these sources, you are also open to the risk of identity fraud. Please be aware that the club is not liable for any financial loss you may incur if you purchase tickets from unofficial sources.”

Arsenal have been determined that home tickets only end up in the hands of “genuine supporters” and have therefore organised a ballot.

The club say that has helped “address the issue of illegal ticket touting and bot activity as the system identifies suspicious activity before tickets are allocated”.

In their new message, Arsenal said: “Any tickets identified as having been purchased in violation of our terms and conditions will be blocked, and you will be denied entry. Any associated memberships will also be cancelled.

“Supporters found to be engaging in touting will face severe penalties, including bans from purchasing future tickets or attending matches, and may be reported to the police.”
