On Friday, Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported that a potential move involving Rodrygo and Arsenal is becoming increasingly complicated.

There have been fresh discussions in recent hours, but the main sticking point is Rodrygo’s wage demands, which are reportedly around €10 million net per year—more than Arsenal are currently willing to offer. Rodrygo is open to leaving Real Madrid, but only if the right offer comes along.

This week, journalist Ben Jacobs offered the latest on Rodrygo’s future in the Spanish capital. Here’s what he said:

“Rodrygo could be a market opportunity this summer. Premier League clubs are alert to his situation as Real could sanction an exit for around €90-100m. Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool aware of this, but no approach or bid yet from any. Al-Hilal have also looked in the past.”

Recently, Sports Zone reported that Rodrygo is no longer seen as untouchable by Real Madrid’s leadership. His agents have already been in touch with Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal, and talks with PSG have also taken place. However, the French club is taking a more cautious approach.
