Bayern Munich live to see another day in the Champions League as they beat Scottish giants Celtic 3-2 on aggregate (1-2 in Glasgow and 1-1 in Munich). It was anything but an easy task for Vincent Kompany's men as a valiant Celtic side forced them to fight tooth and nails to secure a result despite playing at the Allianz Arena.

The game started just like one would have predicted with Bayern dominating the ball and looking to put the tie to bed by scoring the third goal. This period of dominance didn't last long as Celtic grew brave and fashioned a few good attacks of their own. They came close to scoring when Raphaël Guerreiro had to make a goal-line clearance to keep Nicolas Kühn from getting the Scots back in the game.

Bayern started the second half well and were looking totally in control when once again Celtic managed to break this pattern. A mishap at the back gifted Brendan Rogers' team a very good opportunity and Kühn, the former Bayern man, didn't make any mistake this time and equalized the tie on aggregate. Following Celtic's goal, it was an incessant attacking barrage from the Bavarians while Celtic defended with their lives. Davies finally scored the winner for Die Roten. A scrappy goal that came as a rebound from Kasper Schmeichel's effort to save Leon Goretzka's close-range header.

Despite a poor performance that could've seen them knocked out from the Champions League before even reaching the Round of 16, Bayern managed to go through. They will now face one of Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen in the next round. Let's take a look at the players ratings from the home team.

Goalkeeper

Manuel Neuer - 6/10

Was beaten by Kuhn in the first half, but Guerriero's goal line clearance came to the rescue. Conceded in the second half although he wasn't to blame for it. Couldn't be of much use through his passing.

Defence

Raphaël Guerreiro - 6/10

Average performance from the left-back. Didn't have any chemistry linking up with Gnabry and looked vulnerable at the back.

Kim Min-jae - 4/10

Didn't ooze any confidence on the ball. Farcical attempt at clearing the ball led to Kühn's goal.
