Ben Yedder’s move to Venezia is still a possibility, as coach Eusebio Di Francesco admitted they are ‘assessing’ the player, although the final decision won’t ‘depend’ on him.
The former France international is available as a free agent after leaving Monaco at the end of last season and was said to be on Venezia’s radar.

The Lagunari look keen on giving the forward a new opportunity, which is further confirmed by Ben Yedder’s presence at the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo on Sunday, when Venezia fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Roma.
With his team involved in the battle to avoid relegation, Di Francesco is aware that the French could be a valuable addition, but he declined to comment on the matter when approached by reporters after the match, replying with a brief answer: “We’re assessing him, but it doesn’t depend on me. I can only judge him from a technical standpoint,” he said, as quoted by Gianluca Di Marzio.

Venezia director Filippo Antonelli had also admitted the Serie A outfit were making evaluations on the player: “We are reflecting on it, we will evaluate in the coming days,” he said. “If we believe it could be an opportunity from a technical and physical standpoint, then I will discuss it with the owners.”
Venezia lost their leading goalscorer Joel Pohjanpalo in the January transfer window, as the Finnish striker was sold to Palermo.
