Eric Garcia has been a man in demand in the current transfer window, with the Barcelona defender being courted by multiple clubs.
The 24-year-old’s future had been a subject of speculation in recent weeks, with Girona and Como vying for his signing and tabling offers.
However, over the past few days, it has been confirmed that the Spanish international will be continuing at Barcelona, at least until the end of the season, with an exit now fully ruled out.
Now, Mundo Deportivo reports that apart from Girona and Como, Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund also expressed an interest in signing Eric Garcia in the ongoing winter transfer window.
The Black and Yellows, going through a difficult phase, have been looking to strengthen their squad this January and held an interest in the Barcelona defender. However, negotiations with the German club never materialised.

From the very beginning, Garcia was clear about his options. Regardless of the financial terms for the 24-year-old, it was either Girona or Barcelona.
As such, despite their tentative interest, Borussia Dortmund never really stood a chance of signing the former Man City talent.
Seeing that he was not getting playing time and was not in Flick’s plans, Girona seemed to be his favoured destination if he left Barcelona. Como also pursued him, but this was never viewed as a realistic option.
But the financial differences between Barcelona and Girona were always evident. Moreover, a conversation with Deco and Flick ultimately helped him make up his mind and continue with the Blaugrana.
