Over 1.5 Bournemouth goals (1/1 with Betfair)

Bournemouth have scored two goals in each of their past three home games against Aston Villa. It’s a very good record for the Cherries against Aston Villa and, with European football in mind, Bournemouth could be pushing forward to try and find the win they need to keep themselves in contention. A win for Bournemouth would cut the deficit to their rivals to just four points and give them a real shot of making Europe next season.

11+ total corners (1/1 with Sky Bet)

Aston Villa have averaged 6.26 corners per game in the Premier League this season, while Bournemouth have averaged 6.12 per match. With both sides looking to attack and gain the points they need to keep pace with the sides around them, there could be plenty of opportunities for corners as defenders clear their lines. Both sides have plenty of attacking talent in their ranks and corners could be a real possibility, especially at a nice price of evens.

How both teams go into Bournemouth vs Aston Villa

Bournemouth’s hopes of European football for 2025-26 may be over. The Cherries find themselves seven points behind Aston Villa, and they’ll have just three games left to play when this match comes around. So it could be make or break. And even if Bournemouth do manage to get the win against Villa, they’ve left themselves a mountain to climb in such a short time. The Cherries were in a good position not too long ago, but a run of just one win in nine in the league — which includes four defeats — has seen them tumble.

They’ve made up a bit of ground however and, if things go their way, their European dream is back on. They are unbeaten in five league games, including wins over Fulham and Arsenal, drawing their other three games. Their European ambitions might be slim but as long as there is a chance, Bournemouth will keep fighting on.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, are right in the thick of it. A recent defeat to Manchester City has seen Villa slightly lose ground in the race for Champions League football, with fifth now enough for Villa to secure a return to the competition. They sit three points behind fifth with four games left to play, but will take heart from the fact that those above them have tough fixtures to end the season. Villa don’t have an easy final run-in either, despite Bournemouth being their last opponent in the top half of the table. The Villans end the campaign at home to Tottenham Hotspur and then away at Manchester United.

They managed to bounce back from that loss against Man City with a 1-0 win over Fulham and that has kept them right in the hunt for Champions League football but they still sit three points back. Aston Villa are going to need the teams above them to drop points but if they keep on finding a way to win, they could well be in the Champions League for a second consecutive season.

Bournemouth team news

Evanilson is suspended for this game as it stands, though Bournemouth have appealed his red card against Man Utd. Ryan Christie and Enes Unal are out for the season.

Aston Villa team news

Marcus Rashford is expected to miss this game, though he might be back before the end of the season.

Bournemouth vs Aston Villa head-to-head

Aston Villa are unbeaten in their past four games against Bournemouth, winning two and drawing two. This comes after a run of four consecutive wins in this fixture for the Cherries.
