Perks of the upgrade include new authentic kits with heat dry technology and the advantage of having the infamous trefoil adidas logo on the third kit.

Heavyweight sides who hold top status within the brand just now are Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Juventus and Manchester United.

Branching out to other clubs who have intrinsic links with the company and have impressed with marketing include Newcastle United and Italian giants Roma. Both clubs look set to join Celtic who will move on from B Premium Tier ranking within the brand.

The 2020 deal struck with Adidas was the biggest kit sponsorship deal ever to be announced across Scottish sport history. The multimillion pound deal will extend for another five years and the money will most likely rise again as indeed will Celtic’s global retail reach.

Commercially, this is another huge success for the club. Off the pitch, there are not many better well run clubs in world football than Celtic. This new deal is evidence of that.
