Celtic will discover their opponents in the Quarter Finals of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup later this evening. The Scottish Champions made light work of Barry Robson’s Raith Rovers. A hat-trick from Daizen Maeda along with strikes from Luke McCowan and Yang ensured that the holders made it through to the next round. Brendan Rodgers is unbeaten in the Scottish Cup and he will be eager to make it a Treble after last season’s defeated Finalists, Rangers were dumped out the competition on Sunday evening. Philippe Clement’s struggling side were beaten by Championship Queen’s Park at Ibrox, Callum Davidson will be looking to run deep into the competition that he won during the 2020/21 season with St Johnstone.
It is currently half time at the Paisley 2021 Stadium where Hearts are hosted by St Mirren. Stephen Robinson’s side have the lead at the break thanks to a strike from French striker Mikael Mandron. Both teams will be battling to make it into the last eight.
On Friday, Scott Brown’s Ayr United were narrowly beaten by Hibernian at Somerset Park. Saturday saw four fixtures with Livingston beating Cove Rangers 3-0 at the Almondvale Stadium, Dundee recovered from their 6-0 humbling at Celtic Park to inflict a 4-0 trouncing to Airdrie, St Johnstone edging beyond Hamilton and Celtic’s rout against the Kirkcaldy club.

Sunday brought about Rangers’ exit after Aberdeen saw off Dunfermline by three goals to nil.
Teams in the draw: Celtic, Hibernian, Dundee, Livingston, St Johnstone, Queen’s Park, Aberdeen, Hearts/St Mirren.
The games will take place on the weekend of 8th/9th March. Teams will be looking at booking their place at Hampden, with Semi Finals scheduled on 19/20th April before the showpiece Final on 24th May.
The draw will be available to watch on BBC Scotland after the game concludes in Paisley.
(Hopefully) when the Celts go up to lift the Scottish Cup, we’ll be there!
