Champions League table: Only 2 teams with perfect record, Inter flying high | OneFootball

There is a definite Premier League feel to the Champions League table after three rounds, but Inter and Atalanta are yet to concede a goal.

This is the first season using the new format of the tournament, where teams face six different opponents and all the results go into a single league table.

After three rounds, only two teams still have a 100 per cent record in the competition, specifically Aston Villa – who beat Bologna 2-0 last night – and Liverpool.

They are followed by Inter, Manchester City, AS Monaco, Brest, Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting CP and Arsenal all on seven points.

Taking goal difference into account, Inter are currently in seventh place, which would be enough to go straight into the next phase.

Juventus suffered their first defeat with a 1-0 to VfB Stuttgart and are therefore on six points in 14th place.

Atalanta are one of only five teams who have not conceded yet in the Champions League, but that was also thanks to 0-0 home draws against Arsenal and Celtic, so they are 17th on five points.

Milan got off the mark by beating Club Brugge and are still in the elimination places of 25th place on three points.

Bologna scraped only one point and no goals scored, in joint 29th place with Shakhtar Donetsk.
