Chelsea are through to the Conference League quarter-final following a 3-1 aggregate win over Copenhagen.

With one eye on Sunday’s Premier League clash away at Arsenal, Enzo Maresca made six changes to the side that started the 1-0 win over Leicester last weekend.

Filip Jorgensen, Josh Acheampong, Benoit Badiashile, Trevoh Chalobah, Tyrique George and Dewsbury-Hall were all drafted in with Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill and Marc Cucurella among those dropping to the bench.

However, perhaps it was one change too many as Chelsea were extremely disjointed in the first-half, failing to muster a single shot on target which brought about some boos from supporters at half-time.

The visitors, needing to win the game to qualify, set about getting the all-important opening goal but Rodrigo Huescas saw his effort brilliantly blocked by Acheampong, Amin Chiakha headed a decent chance over the bar before captain Viktor Claesson headed an effort from a corner straight at Jorgensen.

Just like in the first-leg, Maresca turned to his bench at the break. On came Palmer and Cucurella and the pair were involved in Dewsbury-Hall’s goal that finally broke the deadlock on the night.

The midfielder showed great tenacity and got a bit of luck as he wriggled past a couple of challenges before firing into the bottom corner which was the cue for wild celebrations.

Chelsea went close to extending their lead, particularly with Palmer, but one goal was enough on the night to make it eight wins from eight in the Conference League proper.
