This news comes after Chelsea beat Real Betis to win the Conference League on Wednesday night after being a goal down at half time and turning it around.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea now eyeing move to sign another Manchester City first team attacker!

The Blues ended up winning the game 4-1 in the end after a bit of a Cole Palmer masterclass in the second half, providing two beautiful assists for his team mates to grab crucial goals.

Although head coach Enzo Maresca is once again not willing to get carried away after this by insisting that Chelsea’s target for next season is not going to be winning the Champions League!

Palmer was the catalyst behind comeback

Cole Palmer hit a rough patch of form in the second half of the season, but he turned up in the final last night and started pulling all the strings in the second half.

His two assists was basically just Palmer being Palmer and deciding to hit a through ball to pinpoint quality. He was literally the catalyst to Chelsea’s turnaround from being 1-0 down at half time.

Doing his own thing

Palmer admitted after the game that he grew fed up of going backwards and sideways and basically just decided to do his own thing!

As reported by Absolute Chelsea after the game, Palmer said:

“I was sick of getting the ball and going backwards and sideways. I remember there was a bit of space, always chopping and changing and I saw Enzo [Fernandez] run so I put the ball over the top. Same again [for the second assist].”

Well done Palmer, for doing this, whether it was against tactical instructions or not!
