Chelsea are willing to offer Crystal Palace a huge cash sum, plus Trevoh Chalobah, in an attempt to re-sign defender Marc Guehi this summer.
Guehi spent the majority of his youth career with Chelsea and gradually rose through the ranks before sealing a permanent move to Palace in 2021 in search of regular first-team football.
The England international, who made just two senior appearances for the Blues, has blossomed since making the £18m switch to Selhurst Park and has established himself as one of the Premier League's leading centre-back.
The 24-year-old has caught the attention of other English clubs in previous transfer windows, with Newcastle United launching several bids for him last summer, and Chelsea are now interested in bringing the former Cobham graduate back to Stamford Bridge.

The Mirror report that the Blues are so enamoured by Guehi that they are willing to bid £50m and offer Palace the services of Chalobah, who impressed on loan with the Eagles during the first half of the current campaign, to secure a deal.
Palace currently value Guehi at £70m, despite the fact his contract expires in 2026, and a £50m bid plus Chalobah - a player Chelsea value at £30m - would "suit" the Eagles, who are "resigned" to losing one of their prized assets.
Chelsea are expected to bolster their central defensive ranks this summer after another long-term setback for the injury-prone Wesley Fofana, while the futures of Tosin Adarabioyo and Benoit Badiashile remain unclear. Axel Disasi, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa, will almost certainly be sold at the end of the season.
Guehi could prove the perfect long-term partner for international teammate Levi Colwill, with the duo potentially marshalling the Chelsea defence for many years to come.
