Dan James wins JD Sports Player of the Month award for December | OneFootball

Leeds United winger Dan James has been named our JD Sports Player of the Month, after 29% of fans voted him to pick up the award for December.

The Welsh international featured in all six of Leeds' Championship fixtures during December, a month that saw the side go undefeated, winning 16 points out of a possible 18 and going top of the league.

James found the net twice for Leeds in December, scoring with a brilliant strike against Middlesbrough, followed by another in the 4-0 win over Oxford.

The 27 year old also turned provider on Boxing Day, setting up Joel Piroe's second goal against Stoke City, as Leeds ran out 2-0 winners at the Bet365 Stadium.

With thousands of votes cast and a number of standout candidates from the month, it was a close affair, as James won with 29%, followed by Manor Solomon (20%), Ao Tanaka (15%) and Brenden Aaronson (15%).
