Leeds United showed great resilience to come back from two goals down to secure a draw against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Saturday.

The Whites have now taken a three-point lead at the top, although Sheffield United can close the gap if they win their game on Sunday.

Leeds were below par in the first half, and they went 2-0 down, with Koki Saito and captain Steve Cook scoring for the home side. Towards the end of the half, the Whites pulled one back through Morgan Fox’s own goal, but Junior Firpo played a big part in it.

Farke withdrew Manor Solomon in the 84th minute, and Largie Ramazani replaced him. The 25-year-old winger didn’t look happy with the decision, but Daniel Farke praised his attitude saying he’s vital for his side.

The Whites boss said: “Manor is always unhappy when he is not playing all 97 minutes, but he started all three games in six days. He is important for us. Created a lot.”

Manor Solomon has been outstanding this season

Solomon joined Leeds in the summer transfer window from Tottenham Hotspur on loan.

He has been simply outstanding this season for the Whites and played a huge role in the second half of the campaign, where he featured heavily.

The Israel international has made 31 appearances in the Championship this season, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists.

Leeds want to sign him permanently in the summer, but for that, they need to secure promotion to the Premier League. It’s highly possible, but for the moment, Farke will be more than happy if he keeps on delivering for the rest of the season.

It may appear that the Whites have dropped two points today (as every point is crucial in the promotion race), but it’s not a bad result at all.

To fight back from a position they didn’t want to be in and get a point away from home shows the mentality of the players and the quality of this team.
