Daniel, how happy are you to be staying at Borussia Dortmund?
Of course I will celebrate this signing, but first we have to think about the game on Saturday. Because our goal is to win the game and reach the Champions League. That's clear. And when I get home, we'll celebrate the signing in some way.
How would you rate your performance for BVB so far?We often play every three days, so there's only a short time to be happy about a good game. But then you have to be ready for the next game. I think after the last matchday - hopefully a win - I'll find the time to sit down and reflect on what I've experienced.
How comfortable do you feel in Dortmund? It all happened very quickly.. But ever since I've been here, it feels like home. I really enjoy being here. I am very happy that I have now signed and will be staying.
How quickly did you get used to playing in the Bundesliga? It's a different level here. But I have the feeling that I've got used to it quickly. I just try to play my game with confidence. Overall, it's gone really well for me.
How important are the fans to you?I think the fans like the way I play football - the way I fight for the team. They seem happy to me and I'm also happy that they support me in every game. So it's all good.
What are your goals for the future? My short-term goal is simply to keep doing what I'm doing: to give my all every day to get even better. And hopefully we'll get even better as a team too. And then we'll be ready to fight for the championship next season. And hopefully we'll also make a lot of new memories in the Champions League.
