Arsenal’s pursuit of a marquee striker in the upcoming summer transfer window appears to be shifting focus, as reports suggest that moves for high-profile targets like Alexander Isak and Victor Osimhen are becoming increasingly unlikely.
The Gunners are now exploring alternative options to bolster their attacking lineup.
Isak has been a long-term target for Arsenal, admired for his goal-scoring ability and consistency.
However, journalist David Ornstein has indicated that a move for Isak is “not going to be realistic,” citing Newcastle’s reluctance to sell and the substantial fee required to secure his services.
Similarly, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been linked with a move to the Premier League.
Despite his impressive goal-scoring record, Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, are reportedly deterred by his high salary demands and concerns about his fit within team dynamics.
Arsenal are turning their attention to more attainable options. Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres has emerged as a potential candidate, as reported by Ornstein.
RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko is another striker on Arsenal’s radar. The Slovenian international is known for his physicality and finishing skills, making him a promising prospect for the Gunners’ forward line.

While moves for Isak and Osimhen seem improbable, the Gunners are actively pursuing alternatives like Gyokeres and Sesko.
The need for a new striker is evident at Arsenal considering how much they have struggled in front of goal this season.
Lack of a prolific goal scorer has caused them to lose the Premier League title and Mikel Arteta is determined to change that next season.
Former Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac has hailed Gyokeres by calling him ‘fantastic’ in the past.
