Additionally, the player discussed his friend and teammate, Artem Dovbyk, and his growth in recent years.

“You could say that we grew up together. Back then we were all basically ordinary guys, good footballers, but none of us were of great relevance to Ukrainian football.”

“We all worked hard, if someone showed themselves, the other also wanted to prove their worth. Pikhalyonok, Hutsulyak and Ignatenko were good guys. These guys were called up to the national teams. The same for Dovbyk.”

“When I heard that Roma would play against us, I wrote to him straight away. And Artem replied and said: ‘Get ready, the atmosphere will be crazy’.”

“I think it will be a difficult match for us. We’ll see. Football is unpredictable, even when you are sure you will play an easy match it turns out to be difficult and vice versa: maybe you expect a difficult opponent in front of you but the game becomes easier than you think. I don’t want to rush to conclusions.”

“It all depends on the state we are in and how we play. The technical staff knows how to prepare us well.”
