Fabrizio Romano reveals that Al-Hilal are in constant contact with the agent of Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.

The 30-year-old has easily been the club’s most influential player over the past few years, especially this season with his 19 goals and 19 assists across all competitions.

But while the club’s supporters wouldn’t even want to entertain the notion of a Man Utd without Bruno, especially given the lack of quality around him, the playmaker’s exit has suddenly become a very concrete possibility.

In the latest video update posted on his official YouTube channel, Romano confirms that the Portuguese star’s agent has been in Saudi Arabia since Monday, with talks between the two parties ongoing for several days.

While the agent’s trip to the Middle East should be taken as a clear intention to leave on the player’s part, it at least suggests that Fernandes is interested in the proposal, and one could hardly blame him given the astonishing figures leaked in the press.

Some sources claim that the Saudi Pro League giants are offering Bruno an outrageous salary of £200 million spread over three seasons.

Man United & Bruno to decide together

While Romano doesn’t mention any figures, he confirms that Al-Hilal are indeed offering ‘crazy’ money for Bruno as well as Man United. The Arabians are even willing to match the Red Devils’ asking price, even if it requires paying astronomical figures.

The Italian journalist notes that Ruben Amorim has already made his intentions clear, insisting that Fernandes is ‘untouchable’ in his plans.

Nevertheless, the manager doesn’t sway enough power to stop this immense operation on his own. Hence, once the agent returns from Saudi Arabia, he will discuss the offer with INEOS, and the two parties will decide together whether to accept the offer or turn it down.
