Fabrizio Romano: Liverpool and Chelsea eyeing Dutch pair | OneFootball

According to Fabrizio Romano (via VoetbalInternational) both Jorrel Hato and Dean Huijsen are being closely monitored by several top clubs in the Premier League.

The transfer journalist believes that Liverpool and Chelsea are most interested in the 18-year-old Ajax defender, while the Reds may move for Huijsen as another option.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea have already scouted Hato extensively and want to continue following him closely in the coming period. Romano via YouTube: “Hato is an important player for Ajax and for Francesco Farioli, one of the faces of the club. We know how well Ajax is known for their young top talents. In the summer, the top clubs will come knocking.”

Ajax will seemingly have to brace themselves for offers for Hato. The five-time Oranje international has a contract until mid-2028 in the Johan Cruyff Arena. This season he has already played 37 official matches, scoring three goals and registering six assists.

“I have been told that Liverpool are planning at least two or three more scouting missions to take a closer look at Hato. He has been closely monitored by Liverpool for a long time and is on the shortlist,” said Romano. “But there are several clubs that are following him, including Chelsea.”

According to Romano, Liverpool are looking at several options. Dean Huijsen is also on the list. “We have to see what Liverpool are going to do. They want to sign an important defender. That could be a talent. They like to invest in that, also under Arne Slot. Both Huijsen and Hato are being monitored by Liverpool.” The Spanish defender of Dutch origin has impressed at Bournemouth this season.
