Fiorentina Buy Out Former Atalanta and Inter Star | OneFootball

Robin Gosens has found a new home at Fiorentina and resumed performing at high levels after struggling to do so after leaving Atalanta a few years ago. He joined the Viola on a season-long loan with a conditioned obligation to buy. The parameters have been met in the past round, Corriere dello Sport informs (via Fantacalcio).

He had to make at least 30 45-minute-long appearances. It happened against Roma, where he left at halftime due to a knock and an illness. He has been a day-one starter and only missed time due to a knee bruise about a month ago.

Fiorentina will spend €7.5M to redeem Gosens. The veteran has notched five goals and four assists so far this season. He has been thriving since Raffaele Palladino switched permanently to a three-man defense, where he can play in his best position as a wingback.

The 30-year-old peaked at Atalanta a few years back but struggled to find his footing at Inter following a €30M move due to a few injuries.
