Reports suggest that Manchester City, Porto, and Nico’s representatives have been in contact over the weekend to explore the possibility of a transfer.

Pep Guardiola’s side is dealing with the significant setback of midfielder Rodri’s injury, which has left a noticeable gap in their midfield.

The Premier League champions are eager to strengthen their squad as they aim to regain momentum domestically and prepare for a crucial Champions League tie against Real Madrid.

Financial gain for Barcelona

Nico, who shares a similar playing style with his compatriot Rodri, has emerged as a potential solution for City.

The proposed transfer fee is below Nico’s release clause of €60 million, but Porto appear open to discussions.
