Hansi Flick sends message to Barcelona fans ahead of ‘final before final’ against Inter Milan | OneFootball

Following a 3-3 draw in the first leg, it will be imperative for Barça to secure a win if they are to seal a place in the Champions League final.

Aware of the task at hand, Hansi Flick spoke to the club’s official media ahead of this important clash, which he labelled as the ‘final before final’.

What Flick said ahead of Inter clash

Sending the message out to Barcelona fans, Flick highlighted how far Barcelona have come, especially compared what people were expecting at the start of the season.

“When we started the season, no one had any idea what we have achieved. It’s not about pressure, we play a final before the final,” he said heading into the Inter game.

“We want to show who we are and how we can play as a team. We want to make the fans proud and the club proud,” he added.

Talking about Inter Milan as an opponent, Flick acknowledged that Inter Milan are not only a strong defensive side but also a good attacking team.

“They are good in defending but they are also strong in attacking. There are no weak teams in the semifinals. They are a huge opponent,” he said.

Finally, the German tactician expressed his desire to secure a ticket to the UEFA Champions League final, which will be played in Berlin.

“We want to show we want to go to the final and this is a great opportunity for us to go to Berlin,” he concluded.

With everything at stake, Flick will indeed hope to avoid any mishap tonight, knowing a win could hand his team an opportunity to not only play the Champions League final but also a chance of securing the treble.
