Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has started to show some real frustrations with one part of his team for the first time really so far.
It comes as no surprise either, because the last league game Maresca and has Chelsea side have won came SIX games ago and was exactly a month to the day, beating Brentford. Since then, it’s been a complete nightmare set of results for the Italian coach and his Chelsea team.
Things were going all too well for Maresca just before Christmas, and they had a genuine chance to even be top of the league at one point. But that now seems like a distant memory as they failed to beat Bournemouth in the league last night.
And it was even very close to being a defeat if not for a 94th minute equaliser from captain Reece James, steering a lovely free kick into the net.
Chelsea took the lead early on through a lovely Cole Palmer finish after being set up with some neat play by Nicolas Jackson. But they didn’t captalise on all the pressure they had at that point and the huge amount of chances they had.

The Blues head coach cut a frustrated figure at the end of the game, and he was annoyed with his attack for not scoring more goals.
As reported by journalist Lloyd Canfield, Maresca said:
“We created so many chances I think we had about FIFTY shots, the first half has to finish with a different score.”
It was actually half of that [26 attempts and 10 on target] but still, it was a lot of chances and he is right to call it out. Chelsea should have been 3-0 up at half time and should have been much more prolific up top.
