Both sides need favours across Europe if they are to finish in the top eight
Real Madrid need a dramatic turnaround as they take on Brest if they are to go straight through to the Champions League last-16.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side sit 16th in the standings heading into tonight’s final round of fixtures, with only the top eight avoiding the extra two-legged tie in the knockout phase play-off.
Real must therefore win in France and hope several other results go their way, but it looks likely that a slow start to their European campaign will prove costly.
Defeats to Lille, Liverpool and AC Milan left the LaLiga leaders with work to do just to ensure they did not fall to a shock early exit.
Brest are 13th and a point above Real, eyeing a famous win that would leave them in the mix for a top-eight finish.
TV channel: The game will be broadcast on TNT Sports 6. Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm GMT.
