Manchester United are actively pursuing a deal for a new striker this summer as Ruben Amorim prepares for a busy summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have struggled in attack this season and the poor performances of Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund is forcing the club to make a move for a new striker.
Several names have been linked with a move to Old Trafford but the club’s primary target is Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed United are interested in signing the English striker this summer as they plan to address their attacking issues.
With Zirkzee linked with an exit from the club this summer, Delap’s arrival could provide them a player who can score goals as well as add pace to their attack.
However, football pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor has told Delap to avoid a move to Man United.
“If I was him, I wouldn’t be going there. I wouldn’t stay at Ipswich, I’d go to West Ham, go and prove yourself at West Ham, the next step. They need a striker, Evan Ferguson will go back to Brighton, it hasn’t worked out.”

A move to United would see Delap return to an elite footballing environment, complete with top-tier facilities, global exposure, and the opportunity to compete in European tournaments.
While the competition for a starting spot would be intense, daily training alongside world-class players would boost his development, something that would be lacking at West Ham United.
The Hammers would not be able to match the sporting ambitions of Man United which makes it even more surprising why Agbonlahor feels that Delap should avoid a move to Old Trafford.
Despite the struggling times at Old Trafford at the moment, they are still likely to achieve more than West Ham and develop players in a better way.
