Inter CEO Beppe Marotta shares insights on Simone Inzaghi’s renewal amidst Premier League interest | OneFootball

Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta claimed that the club are considering numerous factors before presenting head coach Simone Inzaghi with a new contract.

Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports via Calcio Mercato, Marotta provided the background behind extending Inzaghi’s stay with Inter possibly till 2028. He said: “We have always renewed after the fact. There are all the conditions to imagine that he can continue with us. It is not expiring, but it is still right to renew and extend the contract at the right time. What matters is the symbiosis that has been created between him and the club.”

While Inzaghi has a contract until 2026, Inter will be under pressure from several Premier League clubs this summer who will be aiming to snatch their manager away. The Nerazzurri must act fast with renewal proceedings if they want to send a clear message across to interested clubs.

Manchester United tried to pen down the Inter boss last summer but he declined the offer to stay with the Italian side. However, a change of heart can always happen and Premier League sides are counting on that to make a move soon.
