Inter hold off Bayern to reach Champions League semis | OneFootball

Internazionale are through to the Champions League semi-finals after edging out Bayern Munich 4-3 on aggregate, following a thrilling 2-2 draw in the second leg at the San Siro.

It was a lively first half with chances at both ends, but it was Bayern who struck first after the break — Harry Kane finishing to level things up on aggregate and give the visitors hope.

The hosts responded almost immediately, with Lautaro Martínez firing them back in front, and not long after, Benjamin Pavard added another to swing the tie back in Inter’s favour.

The German side weren’t done yet, though. Eric Dier gave them a lifeline with a looping header with just under 15 minutes to play, setting up a tense finish. But Inter held on to seal the deal.

The Italian side now move into the last four of the competition for the second time in three seasons, where a huge semi-final clash with Barcelona awaits.
