The transfer saga surrounding Davide Frattesi at Inter Milan is just getting started despite a slew of denials.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Frattesi came off the bench in Inter’s Serie A win over Venezia yesterday.
That seemed to suggest that that 25-year-old is not yet on the verge of a Nerazzurri exit. He has a role to play, even if he is not going to start regularly as he’d like.
Moreover, Inter President Beppe Marotta insisted that Frattesi has not asked to leave. Coach Simone Inzaghi confirmed as much, also stating that he considers Frattesi part of the project.
However, Tuttosport reports, these are just official denials from the club.
Behind the scenes, the newspaper anticipate, Frattesi still wants a change of scenery.
Tuttosport reports that Frattesi’s appearance in yesterday’s match against Venezia hardly changed the player’s mind.
The Italian international still feels that he is not getting enough opportunities at Inter.
Therefore, Frattesi is pushing to leave. Whether it is in January, or next summer.
Roma are the club who are really pushing to sign Frattesi.
However, Inter’s steep price tag will certainly prove to be an obstacle for the Giallorossi.
According to Tuttosport, Inter have rejected the idea of bringing in Lorenzo Pellegrini as part of a swap deal for Frattesi.
That is because the Nerazzurri’s owners Oaktree Capital are insistent on focusing on signing young players.
