Inter got the better of Atalanta for an eighth consecutive time in all competitions to move four points clear at the summit.

Goals from Carlos Augusto and Lautaro Martinez ended Inter’s four-match winless run in away league action.

More importantly, Inzaghi’s charges took advantage of Napoli’s draw at Venezia to open up a healthy-looking gap.

However, Inzaghi insists the job is only half done.

“Winning the Scudetto? No, not yet,” he claimed.

“But this was an important victory because there are still nine matches left, and the standings are tight.”

“We’re fortunate to play every few days, but we know the risks. I’m proud of the squad; they have an incredible heart.

“Today, we finished with Correa as a left wing-back and Bisseck on the right.

“We arrived here with many absences, but we continue to achieve results in an emergency situation.

“Hopefully, we can recover some players over the break.”

Inter lost Denzel Dumfries to a muscle injury midway through the second half.

However, Inzaghi is optimistic about the Dutchman’s swift return to the fold.

Meanwhile, he highlighted the significance of finding consistency.

“Consistency is key,” Inzaghi added. “ed. “We’ve found our balance in the last four games, winning all of them. We must keep going this way.”

Finally, he reiterated the importance of Inter’s unity and hailed Lautaro’s goal.

“I’m happy with all 100 minutes, not just the first 15. The team helped each other throughout.

“That’s our strength.

“He had run a lot and asked for a change, but I had already used two substitution slots.

“I wanted to bring on three players at once, so I waited a bit… and in that time, he scored! We’re happy.”
