Inter have set their sights on Nicolò Rovella to shore up their midfield, although their opening proposal was quickly rebuffed by Lazio. They proposed Kristjan Asllani and some cash, but Claudio Lotito declined. There’ll likely be another attempt, DAZN’s Orazio Accomando reports.

The 23-year-old is about to be formally acquired by Biancocelesti for €17M. He was technically on loan from Juventus for the past two seasons. He has provided 6 assists in 74 appearances. There’ll be a €50M release clause once his contract comes into effect in July, Radiosei reports

Inter are open for business pertaining to Asllani and Davide Frattesi, and Rovella. Their target has been playing in a two-man midfield in the last couple of seasons and would be a hybrid between the two. On the other hand, they’ll have to increase their offer to be successful.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have promised Simone Inzaghi a busy summer to convince him to snub Al-Hilal’s offer. The other names on their radar in the same role are Samuele Ricci and Morten Frendrup. The officials suggested none of their stars would leave. It’s possible that one or two Lazio linchpins will ask out to play in the Champions League, but they are very protective of their players, and their demand surely wouldn’t be low. He’d be a nice get because he’d be able to deputize for both Nicolò Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu with his traits. They could really use another work-rate-oriented midfielder with a touch of technique considering the characteristics of their other contributors.
