Serie A pace setters Inter will look to deal a potential hammer blow to Scudetto rivals Napoli when the pair lock horns in Saturday's crucial top-of-the-table clash.

Sitting two points clear of Antonio Conte's outfit and fresh off wins against Genoa and Lazio in Coppa Italia and in the league proper, the Nerazzurri remain the masters of their destiny on the home front.

But they may be without a key attacking presence at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona tomorrow after French international forward Marcus Thuram missed both meetings with Genoa and Lazio on account of an ankle injury.

Though the 27-year-old has returned to training, it remains unclear what role he will play, with Inzaghi giving no clear answer during his pre-match press conference.

"I saw him partially again on Wednesday, yesterday, and today he did a good job, he gave reassurances," he said.

"Tomorrow we will see, we will try to understand if he will start from the beginning or during the game. I tried him, but it is not certain that he will start."

Inzaghi also hinted at a potential tactical shift on account of the inability of four members of the senior squad due to injury.

"Sommer, Carlos Augusto, Darmian, and Zalewski will not be there. The last three are all in the same role, so there could also be a change of system. We also did it during the match on Tuesday in the Coppa Italia, and so we will see what we will do."

"You can think about a match but you can't develop it completely. We're facing a valuable opponent, who is doing well, deservedly at the top of the table for a long time, with an excellent coach."

"We'll have to play a game of running, aggression. and reaction. We'll have to pay attention to the details."

Inter and Napoli drew their previous Serie A fixture back in November during a 1-1 stalemate at San Siro, but a strong away record (8-3-2) could offer confidence for fans tomorrow.
