Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco delivered a stunning performance as Italy picked Israel apart in the UEFA Nations League on Monday evening.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by FCInterNews, the 26-year-old has received 7.6/8 for his massive contribution to a 4-1 demolition at Udinese’s Bluenergy Stadium.

Despite failing to get on the scoresheet, as he did with a memorable goal against France on day one, Federico Dimarco was superb last night.

He tied up his Inter teammate Davide Frattessi for Italy’s third as Luciano Spalletti’s side fortified their position at the top of Group A2.

It’s now a near-certainty that Dimarco is among Europe’s finest left-backs.

Alongside AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez, he’s probably the most highly-rated player in his position in Europe’s top-five leagues.

Last night’s showing only solidified his status.

Italy had to wait until the final moments of the first half to break the deadlock.

Indeed, in-form Atalanta center-forward Mateo Retegui converted a penalty to give Spalletti’s side a halftime lead.

After that, it was plain sailing.

The Italians doubled their advantage nine minutes after the break through Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo.

Although Israel got one back midway through the second half, they never stood a chance.

But the highlight moment came in the 72nd minute.

Dimarco picked out Frattesi, who maintained his prolific international form to put clear daylight between the sides.

Shortly after Frattesi’s strike, Di Lorenzo put the icing on the cake to complete his brace.

As it appears, Dimarco and Frattesi are the pillars of Spalletti’s reform of the national team following an EURO 2024 fiasco.

Both Inter stars have established themselves as monumental first-team figures at Gli Azzurri after the tournament.

Alessandro Bastoni was also impressive.

However, in all fairness, the Italian defense didn’t have much to do against the below-par Israelis.
