Jason Tindall watched on as Newcastle United tore Manchester United apart.
Man U lucky to be level at the break but no luck could save them in the second 45.
Jason Tindall overseeing a demolition job, as after the break United scored three without reply.
Watching on TV was Eddie Howe and his sidekick hoping to have his best mate back alongside him as soon as possible.
Jason Tindall speaking ahead of Sunday’s match:
“He [Eddie Howe] has not been well this week and he was admitted to hospital on Friday evening. Everyone wishes him the best and I’m sure he will be back with us soon.
“When you’ve been ill all week it’s difficult to have the input you would normally have.
“The players know the expectations, so it’s important they go out and deliver a performance the manager would be proud of.
“We have had a good week, a really positive result away to Leicester. It’s important we deliver a performance that helps us.”
Jason Tindall speaking after Newcastle United 4 Manchester United 1:
“I have just seen a message from him [Eddie Howe] congratulating us.
“He was able to watch the game and I’m sure it lifted his spirits.
“He trusted the decision we’d make, we’ve been working together for a long time.
“He was able to communicate earlier on in the week, then put his trust in everyone to put in a performance he’d be proud of, and the boys delivered.
“We had to make a couple of tweaks at half-time, we were a few yards off on our press.
“The lads went back out and delivered their tactical executions superbly well.
“Eddie and me have worked together for 17 years and in that time he’s never missed more than a day or two, so he must have found it hard to be missing this week.
“We went out and delivered a performance he would be proud of. Hopefully he is back very soon.
“Amongst our pressing was some fantastic football and some good goals.”
