In the wake of Germany's 2-1 first-leg win over Italy in their UEFA Nations League quarter-finals, Julian Nagelsmann spoke to the media.
The 37-year-old head coach was delighted with his team's fighting spirit who battled back from a one goal deficit.
"I'm especially happy that we came back from 0-1 and won the game. We spoke before the game that we wanted to win both legs.
"The guys who came on did really well. We could've scored more goals in the second-half.
"We had a few problems in the first-half - we didn't change much [in the second half] except the personnel. The team showed desire and did everything to win today," he explained.
Nagelsmann went on to single out Leon Goretzka for praise before discussing the second-leg in Dortmund on Sunday.
"I'm very happy for him. I thought he played a great game, especially in the second half, both defensively and with his presence in the box.
"He influenced the game in both ways. It was a top performance.
"We had a crazy game in Dortmund at the Euros against Denmark, the support was great.
"I'm looking forward to the game in another big stadium. Our fans were loud here today, I hope they will be louder on Sunday," Nagelsmann concluded.
