Even as Real Madrid officially confirmed the injury to Aurelien Tchouameni, sidelining him for a month, there is another concerning development regarding another midfielder.
Indeed, Federico Valverde, who was taken off at half-time against AC Milan on Tuesday night, seems to be struggling with physical problems.
As such, journalist Mario Cortegana of The Athletic (h/t Madrid Xtra) reports that Valverde is now a doubt for the weekend’s La Liga encounter against Osasuna as he is dealing with some problems in his back.

However, after a difficult first half in the game against AC Milan last night, the midfield heavyweight was taken off at half-time by manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Explaining the substitution after the game, the Real Madrid boss had confirmed that the player was indeed dealing with some physical issues, saying:
“Fede wasn’t at his 100%, he had a back problem but he trained well yesterday… but I think he had problems in the first half.”
Now, it appears that the issue has seemingly flared up, casting doubts about his availability to face Osasuna this weekend in La Liga.
After two harrowing losses in back-to-back matches against Barcelona and AC Milan, Real Madrid need to bounce back strongly against Osasuna and they will hope to have Ancelotti fit and ready for the match.
