Juventus are making strides in their pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani, who currently tops their shortlist at the position, but they face competition from Tottenham, while other suitors could emerge later on.
According to TuttoSport, the Bianconeri have had fruitful contacts with his entourage. The striker would accept the destination. He was given the impression that he’d push Dusan Vlahovic and wouldn’t be just a deputy. The Serb has logged big minutes so far, but Arkadiusz Milik and Nicolas Gonzalez’s injury woes contributed heavily to that.
Juventus don’t see Kolo Muani only as a short-term fix, as there are no guarantees their current no.9 will stay next summer. On the contrary, his departure is more likely than his permanence at this stage. If the prospective newcomer fares adequately, he’ll be redeemed and lead their frontline in the future.
On the other hand, the negotiation with PSG isn’t easy, although it could be helped by the sellers potentially signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The center-forward makes €12M gross, so €6M net, and about €3M from January on. He’s in the lead because Manchester United haven’t decided what to do with Joshua Zirkzee yet and Marcus Rashford isn’t a pure striker.
He would be an okay signing, but a permanent switch would be unlikely at those figures. The Ligue 1 giants have been frequently attached to Vlahovic, and perhaps a summer swap could be viable. Unlike in the back, they aren’t in dire straits in this role. They should wait for Zirkzee before signing a fallback.
