Juventus have reduced their asking price for defender Andrea Cambiaso as Manchester City and Liverpool circle for the full-back ahead of the summer transfer window, as per a new report.
City are in the market for a new right-back after Fabrizio Romano reported recently the club have no intention of keeping Kyle Walker in their plans for next season, which makes it inevitable the Englishman will depart the Etihad Stadium in the summer.
Walker is on loan at AC Milan till the end of the season and despite a promising start to life in Italy, the Serie A side’s financial constraints make it unlikely they will sign the Sheffield-born defender on a permanent deal when his loan stint comes to an end.
Pep Guardiola is understood to be keen on adding a natural right-back to his ranks this summer and despite the heroics of Matheus Nunes, Rico Lewis and Abdukodir Khusanov in deputising in the position, City are almost certain to add a full-back ahead of the new season.
Liverpool are in the market for a new right-back themselves as Trent Alexander-Arnold nears a sensational switch to Real Madrid after helping his boyhood club dethrone Manchester City and win the Premier League title over the weekend.
Manchester City are believed to have Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso high amongst their list of targets for the summer, with Juventus now believed to have dropped their asking price for the 25-year-old as the season comes to a close, as reported by Daniele Longo.
Juventus are now willing to sanction an exit for Cambiaso for a reported sum in the region of €40-45 million should Manchester City rekindle their interest in the Italian, whom they tried to sign in January but failed to complete a deal, as relayed by Get Football News Italy.
Cambiaso would be a capable addition to Guardiola’s side after their struggles this season, failing to mount a challenge for the Premier League title and crashing out in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 stage at the hands of Real Madrid.
