It has been a difficult period of adjustment for Dutch international midfielder Teun Koopmeiners since arriving at Juventus.
The former AZ Alkmaar academy graduate and midfield standout made the jump to Atalanta in the 2021 summer transfer window before becoming a fan favorite at Gewiss Stadium.
His form for La Dea saw Juventus make their move before the start of the current season, but the gifted goalscoring midfielder struggled to adapt to life under Thiago Motta.
Now under Igor Tudor, Koopmeiners is getting a chance to prove himself, and with a goal today to open the scoring against Lecce, the 27-year-old netted his 29th goal since moving to the Italian top flight, with Mattia Zaccagni (30) the only midfielder finding more goals in that time.
Much like club colleague Dušan Vlahović, Koopmeiners may now have a new lease on life under fresh stewardship.
