Andrej Kramaric has experienced ups and downs with Hoffenheim since he joined the Sinsheim club 10 years ago.
But judging by what the 33-year-old said after Wednesday's 5-0 defeat to Bayern München, he has never felt that things at Hoffenheim have been as bad as they are now.
“I don't even want to talk about the game, because for me it was clear that this would happen. This is a picture of the whole season… this one big shit season," Kramaric fumed in a post-match interview with ESPN.
“I'm going to be honest. And I'm still soft because if I want to say the truth and some things that are on my mind about the club and the situation, I will probably get the biggest punishment in the history of the Bundesliga.”
It's fair to say it's been a tumultuous season for Hoffenheim, who underwent a major management shake-up in the summer, which most notably resulted in the sacking of long-serving managing director Alexander Rosen.
His replacement, Andreas Schicker, came from Sturm Graz, and when he sacked Pellegrino Matarazzo as head coach in November, he brought in Christian Ilzer from his former employer to replace him.
So far, however, Ilzer has been unable to steady the ship and Hoffenheim have slipped to 16th in the Bundesliga, leaving Kramaric fearing relegation.
“We invest so much money for nothing,” the Croatian international said.
“At the moment, there is a danger that we will get relegated with a squad with good players, but obviously nothing is working. Something's changed at the club.
“This is the first time in my football career I feel like this," added Kramaric, once again describing the situation at the club as “shit”.
"If nobody is going to change this, I will try to change this.”
