Liverpool could win the Premier League title and the Carabao Cup this season, but Arne Slot has identified a department to strengthen, according to a report.

It is very likely that the Premier League title will head to Anfield at the end of the season, as Liverpool are 15 points clear at the top of the table.

According to TuttoJuve, Liverpool are interested in signing Morten Frendrup from Genoa in the summer transfer window.

The Premier League leaders, who could sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace as well, are keeping an eye on the development of Frendrup and could offer €30 million (£25.31 million) in transfer fees for him.

Italian powerhouse Juventus are also interested in a summer move for 23-year-old Denmark international defensive midfielder, who told Goal in January 2024 that he is “good at pressing people and retrieving the ball”.

Frendrup is a very dynamic midfielder who can hold his own in the middle of the park and impose himself on the game.

The Danish star is only 23, so there is room to grow for the youngster, who could be able to add more facets to his game.

Despite his age, Frendrup has already amassed a lot of experience, making 119 appearances for Genoa since his move in 2022. He has scored six goals and made six assists in those games.
