Reliable English source The Athletic has reported that Liverpool are keeping tabs on the Napoli attacker, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and would want to sign him if he shows an interest in leaving Napoli in the ongoing January transfer window. However, Paris Saint-Germain are also competing with the Anfield side to secure his signature.

Meanwhile, reports also reveal that Liverpool’s rival, Manchester United, want to facilitate a swap deal with Kvaratskhelia involving their out-of-favour star, Marcus Rashford. Kvaratskhelia has been a sensational player for Napoli since he joined the Serie A club in the summer transfer window of 2022. He is also one of the best left-wingers in the world currently and helped Napoli win the Serie A title in his first season with the club.

The attacker has gone on to score just five goals and provide three assists in the 19 appearances that he has made for the club in the ongoing season. So, he has not been that consistent but still attracts interest from top clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United, and PSG.

He has attracted the clubs with his qualities like dribbling, vision, and versatility on the field. Predominantly a left winger, he impresses with his ability to switch between creative playmaking and direct attacking. His physicality and two-footedness allow him to be a significant threat. The Napoli man can create and score goals from any angle.

The Merseyside club needs attacking replacements, as the future of Mohamed Salah is unclear as he is in the last six months of his contract. Moreover, Darwin Nunez has not been a consistent performer for the side and has fallen out of the pecking order. Hence, Arne Slot wants to sign Kvaratskhelia.

For Manchester United, Marcus Rashford remains out of the squad, and the Red Devils want to sell him as soon as possible. Hence, they are thinking of a swap deal involving Rashford and Kvaratskhelia. However, Athletic has reported that PSG are first on the priority list to sign the Napoli man. Manchester United and Liverpool might go on to lose in the competition to sign the Georgian attacker.
