Federico Chiesa made his fifth Premier League appearance against Chelsea on Sunday, securing a Premier League winners’ medal, and Liverpool fans chanted for the Italian winger in London.

Chiesa’s fifth Liverpool appearance in the Premier League this season means the Italian winger will get a winners’ medal at the end of the campaign.

Chiesa was introduced at minute 82 in an away game at Chelsea on Sunday, making the final step needed to get the coveted piece of silverware.

CalcioInglese on Instagram showed a video of Liverpool fans at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, making a chant for the ex-Juventus and Fiorentina star.

“You can hear them crying in Turin. Federico is here to win. One chat with Arne Slot and he said Ciao, f*ck off Juve, I am a Kopite now.”

Chiesa has been struggling with injuries this season and has only played 41 minutes in the Premier League.

He still scored twice and provided two assists in 13 appearances across all competitions, spending 403 minutes on the pitch.

What Slot said about Chiesa

During his pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s game against Chelsea, Liverpool boss Slot said: “I don’t think they [Chiesa and Elliott] have anything to prove to me, because I see them every single day on the training ground, and I’ve seen them playing for us in the past or this season.

“Federico, not in the past, but he has had a great career at other clubs as well, so I don’t think these players have to prove the quality players they are.

“I think they want to prove for themselves that they are good enough to play for us, and I already know that they are, and probably they themselves know this as well. So no, I don’t think they have a point to prove, but I do think they would like to play.

“But as I said, it’s not now that all the ones who have played all the games are not going to play anymore, and all the others are going to play now. I did this once before, Plymouth away, and I got quite a lot of criticism from you, didn’t I!”
