A team of Liverpool legends are currently being held by their Chelsea counterparts in a high-profile charity match at Anfield. One hundred per cent of the proceeds raised from the game will support the work of LFC Foundation, as well as supporting beneficiaries – including Forever Reds, Chelsea FC Foundation and Chelsea Players' Trust.

Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt, Ryan Babel and Sami Hyypia are among the headline names to have started for a star-studded Liverpool Legends squad, whilst Chelsea handed starts to many heroes including Claude Makelele, William Gallas, Dennis Wise and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

As a 20-year rivalry is renewed, in the opposing dugouts will be Reds icon Sir Kenny Dalglish and the Blues’ Champions League-winning manager Roberto Di Matteo. Furthermore, history will be made at Anfield this afternoon as Natasha Dowie and Katie Chapman become the first female players to feature in in the annual legends game.
